Thank you for your generous contribution towards improving the school yard for students and children in the community. Now more than ever, school yards are doubling as classrooms and gymnasiums. Parent Council is working hard to help create safe outdoor learning environments where students can play and be active all year. Our school community is incredibly grateful for your support!
Projects celebrated
projects We Support & Why
01.
— LGBTIQ+
Tangible Words is an LGBTIQ+ owned company. We want to see this community flourish at all levels: business, youth and community projects. We give of our time and money, ideally setting up a scholarship fund in 2022.
02.
— Women in Business
Women often need an extra push to get to the top, and award-winning entrepreneurs can help. We typically offer women-owned companies CRM training and sales pipeline coaching. We’ve set up a scholarship fund for new female entrepreneurs in 2021.
03.
— Environment
Protecting the earth is one of the ways we can show care and improve what comes after us. We support protecting natural habitats and the development of technology (like Ignite Clean Tech)
04.
— Educators, Kids, Seniors & Families
As parents and educators, we support through volunteering for projects that make their lives easier. From fundraising, to shoveling driveways, to promoting physical activity, to organizing the team or building websites.
05.
— Anti-Racism
We invest in getting educated about the role white people play in removing systemic racism. We are researching and developing inclusivity and diversity policies. We welcome your project ideas.
06.
— Healthy Living
We believe in the power of exercise, sport, and in having the language and space to safely communicate about all forms of health.
Who We Are
Tangible Words was co-founded by Vicky Marrack and Alysha Dominico. As parents, educators, entrepreneurs and members of the LGBTIQ+ community – we felt a business was only as good as how much it could help others. Vicky and Alysha have always used Tangible Words as a vessel to do good by giving money and volunteering our time to projects we believed in so we decided to create Tangible Help.
Over the years, Tangible Words has formed deep friendships with many business leaders: Tangible Help is the culmination of those relationships bonding over the shared investment of money or time towards things we all care about. So now we can do more, together.
